Principal of Senior School - Jo MacDonald

Deputy Principal of Senior School - Nicole Brazeau

The goal of our Senior School is to provide relevant and exciting learning pathways for all of our students. The school prides itself on having high expectations in terms of student behaviour, appearance and learning achievement. All students complete Senior Education and Training Plans which map out a career orientated learning pathway through Years 10, 11 and 12.

Year 10 is designed as a transition year between our Middle School New Basics Curriculum and the Senior Curriculum program. Year 10 provides opportunities for students to prepare for and sample all subjects offered in Years 11 and 12 and provides for the learning experiences necessary to make broad pathway choices leading into the final two years of Senior.

In Years 11 and 12, students are required to make broad pathway choices – Vocational Education and Training Pathway (VET), Overall Position (OP), or Overall Position with one VET subject. The subject and pathway choices link closely with the students individualised Senior Education and Training Plan and serve to provide a definite learning direction post Year 12.

Student leadership is an important facet of school life with Student Council, Prefect and School Captain positions being highly prized and sought after. The school encourages and promotes leadership and achievement at all levels via the ongoing TRAKS (Tolerance, Respect, Acceptance, Kindness, and Support) Recognition Program and through the annual Awards Night ceremony.

Our Senior school places the interests of students first in all that we do and recognises that the respectful, open and supportive relationships between teachers, students and caregivers is a vital part in the ongoing success of the school. Through the focus on student learning and needs we hope to maximise the learning and social potential of all our students.
