Fostering open communication
Varsity College believes frequent communication with parents creates a vital partnership and strives to work closely with every student, their families and the community in providing an outstanding education.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss any aspects of a student’s education and progress or school procedures, including concerns or compliments, as it is always viewed as a constructive way of making the College a better environment for quality education.
As Varsity College is a large P-12 school across two campuses, we have a protocol for communication to ensure every query can be discussed and followed up in a proactive, appropriate and timely way.
We ask that students and parents address their feedback or concerns in the following manner:
Firstly, please take your queries directly to the staff member involved who will respond to the matter as promptly as possible and refer it for additional attention where necessary
To the staff member’s supervisor where students or parents feel that their concerns have not been dealt with satisfactorily; for example, to the relevant Head of Department/Curriculum, Deputy Principal, or Head of School
Where the matter is not resolved at the previous levels, then it is necessary to follow the chain of command within the College and take the complaint to the Executive Principal.
The College encourages open communication and asks all members of our school community to contribute to the process of making our College an outstanding environment for learning.
