
Varsity College offers a vast range of extra-curricular opportunities within the creative arts; including plays, musicals, dance groups, film and media creations, as well as the chance to enter a variety of competitions and exhibitions. We also have artist-in-residence workshops in the areas of dance, drama, film and television, music and visual art.
Our full scale productions are now staged at The Arts Centre Gold Coast and students have the opportunity to be involved as performers, backstage crew, set and costume creators and make-up artists.
The Little Mermaid | 2019
In 2019 Varsity College went "Under the Sea" and presented their Prep to Year 12 musical, 'The Little Mermaid' This inclusive production was held at The Arts Centre Gold Coast and showcased the array of talents from our college community.

Peter Pan | 2016

Do you believe in fairies?
It is night and the Darling children are tucked up in their beds. Wendy hears the soft sound of someone crying and discovers Peter trying desperately to re-attach his shadow. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell lead the Darling children on a magical adventure: 'Second on the right and then straight on till morning.'
JM Barrie's classic, Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up, was brought to life by Varsity College Secondary School. It was a breathtaking production that really took you to the Never Land.
The Addams Family | 2015

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.
Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the entire family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents.

Alice in Wonderland | 2014

Alice was our very first full play production, held in the secondary campus auditorium. Our backdrops were created by projecting some of the beautiful artworks created by our very own Art teacher, Maria Breeden.
