Every student succeeding is the shared vision of Queensland state schools. Our vision shapes regional and school planning to ensure every student receives the support needed to belong to the school community, engage purposefully in learning and experience academic success.
The purpose of this policy is to outline the expectations of reporting to parents across the college. In Primary, teachers will report to parents in written form twice a year, at the end of each semester. In Secondary, teachers will report to parents in a written format four times a year.
Varsity College is a full-uniform college. The college has a proud reputation, and the uniform is regarded by the college community as being important in encouraging a sense of self-esteem, belonging and self- discipline in our students. All students are expected to observe the details of correct attire and appearance.

Students must be wearing the complete dress uniform or sports uniform in accordance with school routine and this policy.
Varsity College acknowledges the essential role schools play in providing the pre-service teacher access to quality practical experience opportunities. Varsity welcomes its professional responsibility in relation to supervision of pre-service teachers and prioritises the placement of students studying at universities in the SE Queensland region, especially on the Gold Coast and Tweed.
Varsity College promotes excellence in learning and believes every day counts. Students who attend school regularly achieve better and have a better chance in life. Students develop better communication, teamwork and resilience skills when they are attending regularly. Varsity College expects students attend school for every lesson, every day.
This policy has been developed in accordance with the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006 (QLD) and the Department of Education Queensland’s P-12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework.
This policy provides information for teachers, students and parents/carers about roles, responsibilities, processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of assessment that contributes to the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
